SUEK OJSC becomes a major shareholder in Murmansk Commercial Seaport OJSC.

2011

Development of the Apsatskoye coalfield begins.

Work is started to nearly double Vanino Bulk Terminal’s capacity.

Control of SUEK’s electric energy assets is passed to the Siberian Generating Company.

2009

The Vanino Bulk Terminal, SUEK’s largest investment project, begins commercial operations. A fleet of dry-cargo vessels and tugboats is formed to service the terminal.

2007

The SUEK TO THE REGIONS charitable fund is established to implement social projects in the regions where the company operates.

SUEK becomes one of the world's ten major coal producers. SUEK publishes its first CSR Report.

SUEK AG export trading company begins operations and the construction of the Vanino Bulk Terminal starts.

SUEK expands its presence in the Kuznetsk Basin (Kuzbass) and a decision is made to consolidate SUEK’s coal producing and power generating assets.
