SUEK Khakasia demonstrated three great achievements in December 2014. For the first time in its history, overall coal output reached 11 million tonnes since the beginning of the year. SUEK Khakasia sold 10 million tonnes of coal while its enrichment plant processed over 7 million tonnes of coal.
"All SUEK facilities in Khakasia exceeded their 2014 annual targets”, said Aleksei Kilin, executive director of SUEK-Khakasia. “Our employees aim to increase workforce productivity, so we expect to see further production growth for SUEK operations in our region. I would particularly like to mention the improved level of cooperation with OJSC Russian Railways. The efficiency of coal production and shipment to consumers depends heavily on the availability of empty railcars. When open-top cars are freely available, the entire production mechanism works very smoothly.”
He added: “We forecast that our shipment volumes in 2015 will far exceed 10 million tonnes and we believe increased cooperation with Russian Railways can contribute to these improved figures.”
