Samir was appointed to the Board of SUEK in June 2020.
Between 1983 and 2000, Samir held senior management positions at Asea and ABB Power Generation. Then he moved to Alstom where he served as Chief International Operations Officer and Senior Vice-President, and CEO of Alstom Kraftwerke in Germany. In 2003, he became CEO of ABB Lummus Global. In 2006 he was appointed to the Group Executive Committee of ABB Ltd, and served as Head of the Power Systems Division at ABB Group. From October 2006 to 2016, Samir was CEO of Amec Foster Wheeler (formerly Amec), where he was widely credited with the company’s financial recovery.
He is a non-executive director of Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB) and a member of the advisory board of Stena. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Eurochem Group.
Samir served as a UK Business Ambassador, and was co-chair of both the UK-UAE CEO Forum and the UK-Korea CEO Forum. A member of the advisory board of LIFE Lebanon and was a member of the advisory board of SOAS University of London, Samir was also the 2009 and 2016 chair of the World Economic Forum’s Engineering and Construction Board. He served as chair of the Forum’s Disaster Resource Partnership and was co-chair of the Forum’s Infrastructure & Urban Development Industries Committee.
Samir holds a Master of Science degree in Thermal Technology from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm (Sweden). He received an Honorary Doctorate from the Cranfield University in the UK. He is also a graduate of the Young Managers Programme at INSEAD and the Senior Executive Programme at Stanford University.
Mikhail has been a member of the Board of SUEK since December 2020.
In the first half of 1990s, Mikhail Kuznetsov worked in banking.
In 1995-2003, he was a member of the Russian Federation State Duma, the deputy Chairman of the Budgeting, Taxes, Banking and Finance Committee, represented Pskov Region. In 2004-2009, Mikhail Kuznetsov was the Governor of Pskov Region.
Mikhail established "Grazhdanskaya Pressa" association of independent media (Pskov).
From 2013 to 2018, Michail was the Chief Executive Officer of the Siberian Generating Company.
Mikhail has been served as General Director of NTK since November 2021.
Mikhail graduated from the Physics Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
Juerg Seiler was appointed to the Board of SUEK in June 2020.
Juerg held a number of key financial positions across different businesses and has over 30 years of international experience including assignments in South Africa, Hong Kong, USA and Switzerland.
During his career, Juerg was global CFO at ABB Power Systems division and CFO at ABB Lummus Global. From 2012 to 2014, Mr. Seiler served as CFO at Ventyx, the Enterprise Software business of ABB.
Juerg Seiler is a member of the Board of Directors of Eurochem Group.
Juerg Seiler holds a Master’s degree in Economics from University of St. Gallen (Switzerland).
Stepan was appointed General Director Chief Executive Officer of SGC in April 2022.
Since 2004, he worked at the Russian office of McKinsey and was in charge of the electric power industry and heat supply in Russia and the CIS. Stepan supervised projects in the field of power generation, network development and operation, sales activities. Stepan has worked at SUEK since 2018, from November 2018 till May 2020 he was CEO of SGC. In this role, he solved the issues of upgrading the Group's energy facilities, developing the heat supply infrastructure, improving the environmental efficiency of power facilities. From May 2020 to April 2022, Stepan headed SUEK, thereafter held the position of General Director of SGC until February 2023.
Education and qualifications
Stepan graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University. He specialised in regulatory and environmental aspects of the power industry.
Sergey Tverdokhleb has been a member of the Board of SUEK since March 2022.
From 1995 to 2004, he worked in the analytical and economic divisions of the following commercial banks: SBS-Agro, Avtobank and MDM Bank. In 2004, he began his tenure with ОJSC SUEK as an adviser to the CEO and then served as Director of the Corporate Policy and Special Projects Department, Director of Strategy and Corporate Policy in SUEK up to 2020. In 2020, Sergey was appointed Deputy General Director for Special Projects in EuroChem.
Education and qualifications
Sergey graduated from the History Department of the Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Finance and Credit Department of the Finance Academy under the Government of Russia.
