SUEK produces 28.4 million tonnes of coal in 1Q 2017
In January-March 2017, SUEK produced 28.4 million tonnes of coal. The decline in production was 1% in comparison with the same period of time last year.
In 1Q 2017 total sales volumes increased by 1% compared with the previous year and amounted to 29.0 million tonnes of coal.
The volume of international sales increased by 12% and amounted to 13.0 million tonnes of coal. The main directions of international supplies are Japan, South Korea, China, the Netherlands, Taiwan, India, Germany, Italy, Poland and Morocco.
The decrease in domestic sales was 7%. Russian consumers were sold 16.0 million tonnes of coal, 12.3 million tonnes of which were supplied to power generation companies.
